Roof replacement. Please see the attached letter to request a decking layover. There are gaps in the plank decking that are greater than 1/4. Due to the manufacturer's guidelines, the shingles and felt can not be installed on the current deck. A layover is the most cost-efficient way to bring decking up to code. We also need to provide a letter to the Homeowners' Carrier (Insurance Co.) stating that a layover of the deck is required. See attached photos
